I am an Irish artist based in New York, whose practice primarily sits within photography, found images and objects, print and collage. Recent projects explore the formation of desire through display using structures of support from retail as a central focus; the collapse of objects into their pictorial form and the slippages emerging between materiality and representation; objects in flux and how things exist beyond human agency.

The use and transformation of objects are central to my practice, but rather than working with them as material forms in space, I am interested in mediating them through representation. The photograph allows me to focus on a particular aspect or quality of something, offering a different kind of access, reflection and contemplation, and brings with it its own set of values and qualities.

The work often speaks of the meaning, value and future of things and reveals an uncomfortable disjuncture between the proliferation of manufactured goods and what happens to them once deemed obsolete.
